Who are we?
Climactic is a weekly podcast covering the climate crisis from multiple perspectives. The climate crisis is the biggest challenge of our modern times, so we’re growing in response. Adding shows, and helping develop more storytellers. Our podcasters work, live and breathe solutions, but climate action isn’t happening fast enough, so we volunteer our time and expertise to bring you high quality podcasts and hope that we can inspire you to take action, or equally vital, to keep you going when you need fresh perspective. We talk to politicians, scientists, activists, artists, psychologists, sustainable business leaders and ordinary people experiencing the effects of climate change. Over the last two years we have talked to big names such as former Greens leader Richard Di Natale, Tasmanian 2020 Australian of the Year Jess Melbourne-Thomas, Imogen Jubb the National Manager from Beyond Zero Emissions and so many more amazing people. We talk to some big names from overseas, but the Australian climate community is where we strive to find our stories.
Goal: To continue producing high quality podcasts we need $150 in recurring monthly donations. This covers hosting costs (for our website and podcasts), tools like Descript, Cast and Dropbox and for creative extras like Epidemic Sound to keep our production fresh. Want more details? Just ask and we will happily email you a complete list of our ongoing and one-off costs.
How can you help?
We want you at our table; a monthly donation of $15 covers the cost to give one content-maker access to the tools and platforms that they need to drive engagement with the climate crisis. That’s all it takes for us to bring you the stories from the climate community to help you feel inspired. $150 will cover our current costs for the tools of our team, but we’re also growing, and we want to be able to offer more support to creators without the privileges many of us have.
Thank you for your help! We are currently working on bonus content for our subscribers.
